Diflucan and Yeast Infection - Medicines To Cure Yeast Infection

Medicines for yeast infection can either be topical or oral.

Topical. Apply the anti fungal ointment or cream inside the vagina with an applicator.

The use of cream tends to get messy, but the cream provides instant relief if there is itching outside the vagina. The cream can be used for one, three or seven days as prescribed.
Some common anti fungal creams are GyneLotrimin and Monestat. These creams can be bought without a prescription.
Oral. Diflucan and yeast infection often go together, as women usually prefer fluconazole (Diflucan) in the treatment of yeast infection. This is also a good medicine if you have recurring yeast infection. This drug, however, can be purchased only if you have a prescription.
